Great to meet you!

I’ve worked in the social services field for 20 years and have been practicing as a therapist since 2022. I have worked with navigating childhood trauma, attachment wounds, anxiety, depression, relationship patterns, identity, and the challenges that come with being a human in a complicated world. I especially enjoy working with LGBTQ+ clients, men, and parents who are interested in understanding themselves more deeply and making meaningful changes in their lives. My personality shows up in the therapy room—I’m warm, curious, direct, and not afraid to bring in humor when we need it.

My approach to therapy

I believe people change when they feel safe enough to change, so building a genuine and trusting relationship comes first. From there, I want us to understand not only what you are doing, thinking, or feeling, but why—what need is underneath it, where the pattern came from, and whether it still serves you today. My approach is integrative and draws from attachment, CBT, ACT, DBT, somatic, narrative, motivational, strengths-based, and trauma-informed approaches rather than trying to fit every person into the same therapeutic box. I also take a holistic view of mental health because therapy is only one piece of the puzzle; your body, sleep, environment, relationships, beliefs, routines, and sense of connection all matter.

What you can expect from me

You can expect me to listen and validate you, but you can also expect me to respectfully challenge you when I notice a pattern that may be keeping you stuck. Therapy with me is conversational, collaborative, sometimes humorous, and focused on giving you tangible things you can begin using outside of our sessions—not just talking about your problems for an hour each week. We’ll celebrate progress, sit with uncomfortable things when we need to, and work on increasing your awareness, self-compassion, boundaries, and capacity to handle difficult emotions. Ultimately, I don't want you to need therapy forever; I want you to leave our work trusting that you understand yourself and have the tools to continue growing without me.
