Great to meet you!

I am a LICSW who genuinely values people, their stories, and the experiences that have shaped who they are. I believe every person deserves to feel seen, heard, respected, and treated with dignity. Personally, my faith and relationship with God are important to me, and that has strengthened my values of compassion, kindness, service, and respect for others. At the same time, I deeply respect that spirituality, and faith can look very different for every person. I honor each client’s beliefs, values, culture, identity, and personal journey, whether spirituality is an important part of their life or not.

I believe people should be able to come to therapy as their whole selves. I value and respect each client’s identity, cultural background, relationships, gender identity, sexual orientation, family experiences, spirituality, and the communities they feel connected to. My goal is to create an environment where clients feel accepted, understood, and free to be authentic without fear of judgment.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is compassionate, collaborative, trauma-informed, and culturally responsive. I do not believe that people are simply a diagnosis or a collection of symptoms. I want to understand the person behind the symptoms—their experiences, relationships, culture, values, strengths, and the things that give their life meaning.

Therapy with me is a partnership. I will listen and support you, but I will also help you recognize patterns, explore difficult experiences, build healthier coping strategies, and work toward meaningful change. I believe healing can look different for every person, so we will work together to create an approach that feels authentic to you and respects your individual beliefs and goals.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is about getting to know you as a person, not just understanding what brought you to therapy. I will want to learn about what you are experiencing, what is important to you, your strengths, your relationships and support system, and what you hope to gain from our work together.

You do not need to arrive knowing exactly what to say or having everything figured out. We will take our time. My goal is for you to leave the first session feeling heard, respected, and with a clearer understanding of how we can move forward together. Therapy is your space, and I want us to build a relationship where you feel comfortable being genuinely yourself.
