Great to meet you!

Hello, I am honored that you are considering having me walk alongside you. My training and experiences include inpatient psychiatric, university counseling, substance dependence recovery, community and general outpatient counseling. I specialize in complex trauma, Christian faith-based counseling, depression, anxiety, and obsessive-compulsive presentations. I enjoy working with teenagers, young adults' process of differentiation and adjustment, recognizing and changing deep-seated maladaptive thinking patterns and behaviors, acculturation issues, and clients who want to incorporate the Christian faith into their counseling. Prior to psychology, I worked in the corporate technology sector and have empathy into the 9-5 life. I trust our therapeutic journey will provide you with comfort, objectivity, and hope.

My approach to therapy

Using CBT, Psychodynamic, Acceptance and Commitment and Emotion-focused approaches, I focus on the therapeutic alliance, insight, the emotional experience, and actionable goals in between sessions. I speak Mandarin Chinese for clients who are more comfortable with counseling in Chinese.

What you can expect from me

At our first session, you can expect my utmost effort to understand your complex story that comes with the human predicament. You will feel advocacy and genuine compassion.
