Great to meet you!

Change can be difficult, and at times overwhelming or even frightening, but you don’t have to navigate it alone. I provide a supportive, nonjudgmental space where clients/patients feel heard, respected, and thoughtfully challenged to grow. Clients/patients often describe me as caring, genuine, and direct. I take a collaborative approach to therapy, working alongside you toward meaningful goals while ensuring you are never treated as “just a number.”

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Georgia and South Carolina and a Certified Professional Counselor Supervisor (CPCS) in Georgia. I am a Certified EMDR Provider, Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP), Certified in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (C-DBT), and a Certified QPR Gatekeeper Trainer for Suicide Prevention.

I earned my Master of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy from Valdosta State University and my Doctorate in Counselor Education and Supervision from the University of Arkansas. With nearly 16 years of experience as a mental health provider, I primarily work with adults in outpatient settings, including military personnel, veterans, military spouses, healthcare professionals, and fellow mental health providers.

My approach to therapy

My clinical focus includes anxiety, depression, trauma and PTSD, ADHD, bipolar disorder, relationship and communication concerns, and work-related challenges. I have also had the privilege of presenting at regional, national, and international conferences and remain actively engaged in research and peer-reviewed publication, ensuring my clinical work is informed by both extensive experience and current best practices.

What you can expect from me

You can expect a welcoming, structured first session focused on understanding your concerns, clarifying goals, and identifying initial steps toward meaningful change. I create a supportive yet direct environment where clients/patients feel heard and respected, while also collaboratively establishing clear therapeutic direction and practical outcomes tailored to your needs.
