Great to meet you!
Jill Day is a doctorally-prepared, board-certified psychiatric-mental health nurse practitioner able to treat patients across the lifespan and specializes in psychiatric medication management of mood and anxiety disorders for individuals ages 12 to 65. Jill has called Connecticut home since 1996 and has raised three children in the Nutmeg State. Her experiences in psychiatric nursing, school nursing, and women’s health led her to pursue a master’s degree to become a psychiatric nurse practitioner. This allowed her to blend holistic care embedded in the nursing model while offering enhanced treatment through the medical model. Having completed her master’s degree from Fairfield University, Jill was selected for a prestigious and rigorous fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry at the Institute of Living in Hartford, Connecticut. The fellowship provided Jill the opportunity to practice and work with patients in many settings, including inpatient psychiatry, partial hospital/intensive outpatient (PHP/IOP) programs, residential mental health care, young adult services, interventional psychiatry, and outpatient psychiatry. Always striving to enhance patient care, she earned a doctorate in clinical care from the Yale School of Nursing’s Doctor of Nursing Practice program.
