Great to meet you!

I've known that I want to help and support people from a young age. I was the friend that everyone would feel comfortable opening up to. This led me to getting my B.A. in psychology where I was able to do research in addition to my courses as well as an internship with hands on experience. I then completed my M.A. in mental health counseling from Boston College. Since, I have worked with all ages in group homes, schools and outpatient settings. Currently, I am passionate about working with adults who have anxiety, stress, are going through life transitions, grief, depression etc.

My approach to therapy

I want clients to feel that their time in therapy is useful and meaningful. That may mean that not every session looks or feels the same. There may be sessions that are more client directed and others where I provide the structure or a little bit of both. I meet clients where they are at and work with them as a team on their treatment and goals.

What you can expect from me

Starting therapy for the first time or with someone new can feel overwhelming. I try to make the first session more like a conversation rather than a series of probing questions. I use warmth, compassion and patience to help build rapport and know opening up and building trust can take time.
