Great to meet you!

I have worked as a Psychologist for 35 years and am experienced as a therapist. I especially love to be part of the healing path, working together with you to understand how the past relationships impact the present and to find resources to soothe yourself with your current stresses. I work with those who are depressed and anxious, as well as those who have experienced trauma in a supportive and individualized way.

I have different approaches to understand your symptoms. I obtained my doctorate in 1990 at the Illinois School of Professional Psychology. I use an integrative approach to therapy, using skills that borrow from dynamic, CBT, ACT and Trauma informed perspectives.

I especially enjoy working with clients to identify their own dynamics in relationships at home, work or with their families to move through difficult moments and bring further understanding of how to move past conflicts and challenges.

My approach to therapy

It's important to develop a good rapport and strong working therapeutic relationship to build upon. I have specialized with clients suffering from depression, anxiety, PTSD, life transitions and grief.

What you can expect from me

In the first session, it's different than following sessions, in that it's important to get your sense of history and how the symptoms developed, understanding what stressors were going on at the time. Sessions after intake, are more client driven with a focus of what you bring into therapy. Most importantly it's essential to create a sense of comfort and highlight the goals that are important to you to work on.
