Great to meet you!

Hi! I originally began my career in education, where I developed a passion for supporting individuals in building the skills needed to thrive. My early counseling work focused on helping adolescents develop coping strategies, independence, and communication skills. Over time, I found deep fulfillment in working with parents and couples facing life’s challenges. Through roles in community organizations and now in private practice, I use a strengths-based approach to help clients recognize and build on their abilities—even when they can’t see them yet. Guided by empathy and respect, I tailor each counseling journey to the unique needs and goals of the individual or family.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is collaborative, compassionate, and focused on helping you build on your strengths. I believe that each person’s story is unique, so I tailor my approach to fit your individual needs and goals. In our work together, I aim to create a safe, supportive space where you feel heard, understood, and empowered to make meaningful changes. We might explore past experiences, practice new coping skills, and notice patterns that influence your thoughts and behaviors. I see therapy as a partnership where small moments of insight can lead to lasting growth and a greater sense of balance and fulfillment.

What you can expect from me

In our first sessions, we’ll focus on building a strong, trusting relationship while gathering important history and clarifying your current needs. This helps define your role in the therapeutic process and ensures our work is tailored to you. Once your strengths and goals are identified, sessions may involve exploring past experiences, practicing and refining coping skills, and recognizing any unhealthy patterns in your thoughts or behaviors. You’ll be encouraged to apply strategies between sessions and notice moments of insight or change, which we’ll use to guide and deepen our work. Progress often comes from these moments—big or small—and together we’ll build on them to create lasting growth and meaningful change.
