Great to meet you!

I earned my Bachelor of Education from the University of North Texas and my Master of Social Work from the University of Texas at Arlington. I have experience working with children, adolescents and adults in providing psychiatric evaluations, individual and group therapy, and crisis intervention. My experience includes working with foster care agencies, non-profit domestic violence organizations, inpatient and outpatient settings in psychiatric hospitals.

My approach to therapy

I earned a Bachelor of Early Childhood Education from the University of North Texas and Master of Social Work from the University of Texas at Arlington. I have over ten years of experience working with children, adolescents and adults in non-profit foster care and domestic violence organizations, as well as psychiatric hospitals in acute and outpatient settings. I have received formal training in Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT), Trauma-Informed Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR.) I use a trauma-informed approach while applying a variety of therapeutic modalities.

What you can expect from me

Starting therapy may feel overwhelming, but I will help guide you through the entire process. When you request a consultation, I will call you to see if the two of us working together will be a good fit to ensure that your needs for a therapist align with my skills and knowledge. Your first appointment will then be scheduled, and you will receive an email with forms to complete before your first appointment. After the initial appointment, I will create a specialized treatment plan based on your specific needs. I will create a warm, safe space for you during your journey to wellness. I am committed to helping you facilitate positive changes that lead to more fulfillment and authenticity in your life.
