Great to meet you!

As a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker, I work from a holistic perspective, which values all aspects of self, psychological, biological, social and spiritual.

I believe that emotions are messengers for us to learn and grow from, and that joy and pain, grief and love can live peacefully together.

I graduated with a Master's degree in Social Work from New York University 1997. I have been working as a social worker for the past 29 years in various clinical settings, School, Hospital, and community mental health specializing in grief and bereavement, trauma, life transitions, depression, anxiety, self-awareness, and numerous other areas.

My approach to therapy

I draw from several modalities, to best meet the needs of my clients with an underlying philosophy which emphasizes that each individual has intrinsic worth. I believe in the power of one's ability to move with pain and suffering and to become in balance with the essence of self, truth, and peace that exist within.

I have a specialty in hypnotherapy, which is useful in achieving a heightened state of awareness. When attention is deeply focused through guided meditation and relaxation it allows you to access your own subconscious wisdom. Through this process, metaphors, and symbols that are personal to you emerge. These key elements serve to guide you and move you forward in meaningful ways.

I also work with Sound healing to support relaxation and balance within oneself.

I work with an emphasis on seeing the whole person and supporting each part to be in balance. I draw from Gestalt therapy and Internal Family Systems to more deeply understand the inner self and how it supports deeper awareness.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, I will hold a supportive space for you to share your thoughts and feelings. This will be a time to feel seen and heard as we begin your therapy journey together.
