Great to meet you!

I am a bilingual therapist (English/Spanish) who specializes in working with children of all ages and their caregivers/families, and supporting people through big feelings, family changes and conflicts, mental illness, and cycles of trauma that sometimes repeat across generations — including people/families impacted by the child welfare system (removals, foster care, adoption, etc.).

My approach to therapy

I believe that the client is the expert in their own life, and my job is to help you uncover your own innate power, strengths, wisdom, and self-insight. My practice is holistic, understanding that mind, body, and spirit are all connected. In practice, a session might look like talking through a difficult situation, using art or movement to process what words can't quite hold, or noticing how your body carries the weight of your experiences. I tailor my approach to each person, drawing on CBT, Trauma-Focused CBT, narrative therapy, somatic work, and expressive art therapy, among others.

What you can expect from me

During our first session, we will begin to co-create a warm, open-minded environment as we get to know each other in a non-judgmental space. If you already know what you would like to work on in therapy, we will discuss your goals for treatment. If you don't yet know, that is okay too. We can explore possibilities together. My hope is that you leave our first meeting feeling heard, a little less alone, and quietly hopeful about what is possible for you.
