Great to meet you!

“Welcome — I’m glad you’re here. Reaching out for therapy is a meaningful first step, and it shows your commitment to caring for yourself. As a licensed psychotherapist, I provide a safe, resilient space where you can explore challenges, gain clarity, and build practical tools for change. Whether you’re struggling with anxiety, relationships, trauma, or simply feeling like you're "running out of time" to get life accomplished, my approach is collaborative and tailored to your unique needs. Together, we’ll work toward creating balance, resilience, and a greater sense of self-confidence — so you can move forward with intention and strength.”

My approach to therapy

At Yourself First, LLC, my approach to therapy is structured, evidence-based, and clinically grounded. I provide a therapeutic space that is supportive, collaborative, and focused on helping clients develop insight, strengthen emotional regulation, and create measurable change in their daily lives.

  • I integrate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients examine the relationship between thoughts, emotions, and behaviors; Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to build skills in distress tolerance, emotion regulation, mindfulness, and interpersonal effectiveness; and EMDR therapy to support the reprocessing of traumatic memories, distressing life experiences, and negative core beliefs. My work is grounded in trauma-informed care, which means I prioritize safety, stabilization, trust, collaboration, and empowerment throughout the therapeutic process.

My clinical style is direct, engaged, and goal-oriented. I help clients better understand how past experiences, nervous system responses, relational patterns, and belief systems may be influencing their current functioning. Together, we work toward reducing symptoms, improving coping skills, strengthening self-awareness, and supporting long-term emotional and behavioral change.

At Yourself First, LLC, therapy is centered on helping clients develop the tools, clarity, and internal stability needed to prioritize their mental health and move forward with greater confidence, resilience, and self-direction.

What you can expect from me

I'm here to offer the actual help clients are looking for. To assist with turning their pain into POWER.

Clients can expect their first session with me to be structured, collaborative, and focused on understanding what brings them to therapy at this point in their life. We will review current symptoms, relevant history, treatment goals, coping patterns, strengths, and any areas of concern impacting daily functioning, relationships, or emotional well-being.

  • The first session is also an opportunity to establish clinical fit, discuss expectations for therapy, and begin identifying which treatment approaches may be most appropriate, including CBT, DBT, EMDR, and trauma-informed interventions. I work to create a space that is professional, supportive, and goal-oriented, while moving at a pace that feels clinically appropriate and emotionally safe.

By the end of the first session, clients can expect to have a clearer understanding of the therapeutic process, initial treatment goals, and the next steps we may take together to support meaningful progress.

At Yourself First, LLC, my goal is to help clients strengthen emotional regulation, increase self-awareness, process difficult experiences, and build the clarity and confidence needed to prioritize their mental health.
