Great to meet you!

From a very young age, I found great joy getting to know people and building trustworthy connections with them. During my undergraduate training in Psychology, I grew intrigued to understand the heart behind people's behaviors. This curiosity led me to my graduate training, where I had the opportunity to work at a Crisis and Recovery Center. Coming alongside individuals in crisis and simply sitting with them through some of their darkest times in life. This humbling experience showed me the importance that therapy can play in a person's recovery and rekindling their hope and purpose in life. This experience also confirmed my belief that if a person has breath, there is hope for positive change and recovery. Seeing individuals find hope and purpose again is such an honor and privilege to be able to witness.

My approach to therapy

I use cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and person-centered therapy, which offer unique strategies for personal growth. CBT offers practical tools to practice outside of therapy to help individuals be aware of unhelpful thoughts and how our thoughts are connected to how we feel and behave. Person-centered therapy keeps the focus on your goals and what you want to accomplish on your journey.

What you can expect from me

In our first session together, I simply want us to get to know each other. I will ask some questions about your purpose for seeking therapy and what you hope to accomplish, but overall, I want this first session to be a very laid-back and inviting conversation, and most importantly, a safe place where you feel comfortable and heard.
