Great to meet you!

I am a Board-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) and the founder of Beton Cire Mental Care, where I provide comprehensive, evidence-based psychiatric care for adults aged 18 and older.

I hold a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from College of Saint Elizabeth and a Master of Science in Nursing with a concentration in Psychiatric Mental Health from Fairleigh Dickinson University. Over the past 10+ years, I have worked across diverse clinical settings, including Summit Oaks Hospital and Hunterdon Medical Center, where I continue to serve on the psychiatric unit. In this role, I provide psychiatric consultations for multiple departments including the Emergency Department, ICU, and medical-surgical units and coordinate inpatient admissions for individuals in need of acute psychiatric care.

In addition, I bring nearly 15 years of correctional psychiatry experience, providing mental health services to individuals within jail and prison settings. This experience has deepened my understanding of complex psychiatric needs and reinforced my commitment to treating every patient with dignity and compassion.

My clinical focus includes medication management for depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and other mood disorders. My approach is collaborative and patient-centered. I believe in empowering clients to take an active role in their treatment and in helping them achieve greater emotional balance and overall wellness.

My approach to therapy

My approach to psychiatric care is collaborative, compassionate, and evidence-based. I believe effective mental health treatment begins with truly listening to each patient’s story, understanding their experiences, and building a relationship founded on trust and respect.

I take the time to perform comprehensive evaluations that consider biological, psychological, and social factors influencing mental health. From there, I develop individualized treatment plans that often include medication management, lifestyle recommendations, and coordination with other care providers when needed.

I view treatment as a partnership. I work closely with each patient to ensure they are informed, involved, and comfortable throughout the process. My goal is to help individuals achieve emotional stability, improved functioning, and an overall sense of well-being.

With over a decade of experience in mental health, I strive to create a safe and supportive environment where clients feel empowered to take an active role in their healing journey.

What you can expect from me

During your first session at Beton Cire Mental Care, my priority is to create a comfortable and nonjudgmental environment where you feel heard and supported. The initial visit is focused on getting to know you, your personal history, current symptoms, past treatments, and overall goals for care.

We will conduct a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation that explores biological, psychological, and social factors contributing to your mental health. This includes a detailed review of your medical and mental health history, current medications, and lifestyle factors.

Together, we will discuss potential diagnoses, treatment options, and medication plans if appropriate. I will explain every step clearly, answer all your questions, and ensure you understand the treatment process.

My goal is for you to leave your first session with a better understanding of your mental health and a sense of direction toward achieving stability and wellness.
