Great to meet you!

Over the past two years, I have worked in community mental health serving individuals from all walks of life who have experienced a wide range of mental health concerns.

Prior to this role, I worked at an inpatient psychiatric facility and gained experience working as an advocacy counselor at a domestic violence/sexual assault nonprofit organization. Through these experiences, I learned to approach all my clients with care regardless of past experiences and personal values. My specialization includes working with people of color, addressing anxiety and depression, and navigating life changes.

My approach to therapy

Therapy is a place where you should feel safe, understood, and valued. It is a space that you can make your own, however you see fit. My job is to hold that space for you, so that you can use it to learn, grow, and face challenges. Although I use evidence-based strategies, I strongly believe that the therapeutic relationship I build with my clients is the most important factor to facilitating change.

What you can expect from me

I offer a collaborative and non-directive approach to therapy. This means that you dictate what is important enough to talk about during each session. You can expect to lead the sessions, and we will go towards the path that you want to take. I believe that the most effective therapy sessions are the ones that can focus on what clients are experiencing at the present moment, rather than on a pre-set agenda set by the therapist.
