Great to meet you!

Whether you're navigating a difficult season or simply feeling ready to grow, therapy can be a space to understand what's underneath and move toward something more authentic.

I work with individuals navigating stress, trauma, life transitions, and relationship challenges. What makes my approach different is how we work together: beyond conversation, I integrate music and art into sessions, offering a pathway to emotions and insights that talk therapy alone sometimes can't reach.

I've trained and worked in both the U.S. and China, and my bicultural background informs the way I hold space for diverse life experiences, identities, and worldviews.

My clients often describe gaining clarity, confidence, and a renewed sense of who they are — and what they want their life to look like.

My approach to therapy

My approach is eclectic, rooted in psychodynamic thinking and integrated with CBT depending on what you need. In my experience, every client needs a different angle.

Some people benefit most from exploring past experiences and resolving early conflicts that still shape today. Others need more structure and focus on immediate challenges. Most often, we do both — using the past to inform the present, so we're not just addressing surface symptoms but working toward something more lasting.

I also specialize in music psychotherapy and vocal psychotherapy — both requiring years of advanced training beyond a master's degree. I hold certifications in Nordoff-Robbins Music Therapy and Austin Vocal Psychotherapy, two internationally recognized approaches that equip me to use music and voice as direct pathways to emotional healing.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, I'll create a safe space for you to share what's on your mind — your current challenges, your strengths, and what you're hoping to work toward. Together we'll start to explore a direction for our work.

If at any point talking feels limiting, we don't have to stay with words. My office has instruments from all over the world, and I find that most people discover a sound that resonates with them — one that can open up feelings and thoughts in ways conversation sometimes can't.
