Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) dedicated to helping individuals navigate emotional challenges and heal from past experiences. With a compassionate and culturally sensitive approach, I specialize in working with adults who have experienced childhood trauma, intergenerational struggles, and family conflicts. As an immigrant myself, I understand the complexities of balancing cultural identity, family expectations, and personal well-being.

In my practice, I provide a supportive space where you can explore your emotions, gain insight into your patterns, and develop healthier coping strategies. Whether you’re struggling with anxiety, self-doubt, or navigating difficult family dynamics, my goal is to help you build resilience and reconnect with your sense of self. If you’re ready to begin this journey, I invite you to visit my website jcinsighttherapy.com to learn more about my background, specialties, and approach.

My approach to therapy

My approach integrates Structural Family Therapy and somatic-based modalities such as Brainspotting, Polyvagal Theory, and Internal Family Systems (IFS), Emotionally-focused Family Therapy to support deep emotional healing. I specialize in helping adults with childhood trauma, intergenerational wounds, and complex family relationships, particularly those from Asian American and immigrant backgrounds.

I believe healing involves not only the mind but also the body and the cultural systems we are shaped by. Many of my clients struggle with anxiety, emotional disconnection, or a persistent sense of not being “enough” due to family dynamics and societal pressures. Through our work, we explore how these early experiences continue to impact you and help you regain a sense of inner strength, clarity, and self-compassion. My goal is to provide a safe, validating space where you can process your past, strengthen your emotional well-being, and move forward with confidence.

What you can expect from me

To untangle the emotional knots in the past,

To ground in here and now, and

To grow insight into the desired future.
