Hi, I'm Jini!

I'm a Licensed Psychotherapist/Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and I've been in the mental health field for 22 years. I completed my undergraduate degree at Spelman College where I majored in Psychology and earned my graduate degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a focus on child and adult health and mental health. I work with children (10 and up) and adults and specialize in the treatment of anxiety, stress, trauma, depression and relationship concerns.

My style is calm, engaging and relatable. I work to create a personable therapeutic relationship with my clients and support the needs of diverse populations in a culturally competent, affirming and empowering manner. I would be a good fit for tweens, teens and adults who may be going through life transitions, having challenges managing stressors of everyday life and/or feeling stuck in patterns that no longer serve them.

My approach to therapy is tailored to meet the individual needs of my clients. I strive to provide a relaxed, safe and supportive space where clients can feel comfortable expressing their innermost thoughts and feelings related to current challenges and/or chronic conditions. I am passionate about helping my clients find balance in their lives, heal from trauma and ultimately find meaning and greater life satisfaction.
