Great to meet you!

Hi there! I’m Dr. Jiyun Nam, a licensed clinical psychologist providing psychotherapy across California for the Asian American community. I offer bilingual services in English and Korean and work with children, teens, adults, and families. My goal is to provide a safe, supportive space where you feel seen, valued, and empowered to heal and grow.

I specialize in mental health concerns such as depression, anxiety, trauma-related symptoms, OCD, and relationship challenges. My approach is culturally sensitive, non-judgmental, and integrative. I draw from evidence-based therapies, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and psychodynamic therapy. Taking the next step can feel overwhelming, but you deserve care, clarity, and support. I’m here to walk alongside you as you rebuild trust in yourself and your well-being. When it feels right, I encourage you to reach out and begin this process together.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is collaborative, culturally responsive, and tailored to each person's unique needs. I believe healing begins when clients feel safe, heard, and understood. I integrate evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and psychodynamic therapy, to help clients better understand their thoughts, emotions, and life experiences while developing practical tools for lasting change. Whether you're navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, OCD, relationship challenges, or life transitions, we'll work together at a pace that feels right for you.

What you can expect from me

The first session is focused on understanding your story. We'll talk about your current concerns, your background, and what you hope therapy can help you achieve. You'll have the opportunity to ask questions, and together we'll begin developing a treatment plan that aligns with your goals. My goal is to create a supportive environment where you feel safe, respected, and empowered from the very beginning.
