Great to meet you!

Hello, and welcome. My name is Jo Ann Elbert, but call me Jody and I am a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. I am a graduate of the Eastern Kentucky University MSN program. I began my career as a provider in a behavioral health hospital, where I gained invaluable experience in working with clients in acute care settings. In 2019, I transitioned into private practice, where I have had the privilege of working closely with individuals in a more personalized and supportive environment.

My style is compassionate, structured, and patient-centered. I believe one of the most important parts of care is listening—I want you to feel truly heard and understood. Together, we will build a treatment plan that not only addresses symptoms but also supports your personal goals and long-term wellness.

I specialize in working with individuals experiencing ADHD, anxiety, depression, PTSD, and bipolar disorder. I am passionate about helping clients navigate life’s challenges, improve their daily functioning, and find meaningful relief.

Whether this is your first time seeking mental health support or you have been on this journey for a while, I am here to provide a safe, supportive space where healing and growth can happen.

My approach to therapy

I believe in creating a safe space where clients feel truly heard and understood. I work collaboratively with each individual to develop treatment plans tailored to their unique needs and goals, ensuring that care is both supportive and effective.”

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect to leave each session with a sense of being truly heard, supported, and understood. Together, we will work toward practical strategies to help manage symptoms, improve focus, and build coping skills. My goal is for you to walk away with greater clarity, tools you can apply in daily life, and a renewed sense of hope and direction.
