Great to meet you!

Hi! My name is Jo Hadley. I graduated from University of Washington's School of Social Work 25 years ago in 2000. Back then, my focus was on working with children and teens. But as life would have it, after raising my own kids, my passion has shifted to helping adults.

My approach to therapy

My counseling style is warm and supportive. I like to focus on identifying your strengths and helping you to maximize them to overcome your obstacles. I'm here to help you recognize your own patterns and sort through the things that are difficult right now, and offer you a safe place to be open and honest without fear of judgment.

What you can expect from me

I keep my caseload of clients on the smaller side for a couple different reasons. First, I love being a psychotherapist and want to continue doing this work for a long time to come; keeping my work/personal life in balance is how I plan to do so. Second, I like to give my clients a lot of my attention and focus, both in sessions, as well as thinking about you during the week. One of my clients who recently "graduated" from therapy, wrote me a lovely note which I think sums up what my clients can expect from seeing me. She wrote, "you have really done such a wonderful job at helping me reframe things that aren't set in stone, and to see things in a different light when all I can sense is darkness. You have truly changed my life."
