Joan, a registered nurse since 1995, has dedicated 24 years of her career to the emergency department at Huntington Hospital. In May of 2020, she graduated from the Hofstra Northwell School of Graduate Nursing, as an Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner. Pursuing further education, Joan underwent post-master's studies to attain dual board certification as both a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and an Adult Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner.

With a keen ear and compassionate approach, she listens attentively to their concerns and experiences, tailoring personalized treatment plans to address their unique needs and aspirations.
