Great to meet you!

I believe that each person is unique, irreplaceable, and created with innate dignity and worth. Your experiences, struggles, and wounds are part of your story, but they do not define who you are!

My education and training as a clinical mental health counselor have emphasized the beautiful way faith and psychology can work together in supporting mental and emotional well-being. I believe faith can be a steppingstone in navigating life's challenges rather than an obstacle to healing.

At the heart of my work is a desire to help each person flourish -- to recognize and strengthen the gifts, capacities, and resilience already within them, while exploring and letting go of invalid self-beliefs and expectations that keep them stuck.

My approach to therapy

My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and grounded in the belief that healing takes place within the context of relationship and genuine human connection. I

strive to create a safe environment where you will feel heard, respected, and valued.

I place particular emphasis on the importance of healthy communication and relationships. Patience, humility, empathy, and a genuine desire to understand one another can profoundly strengthen the relationships with the people we love. Because our need for relationship and connectedness is one of our deepest human needs, I believe that developing healthier ways of relating to ourselves and others can be an important part of healing.

If you so desire, we integrate your faith with evidence-based psychological practices to support growth in your whole person--mind, heart, and spirit.

What you can expect from me

The first session is an opportunity for us to begin getting to know one another and to understand what has brought you to therapy. We will talk about your concerns, your experiences, and what you hope to gain from counseling.

My goal is for you to feel welcomed, respected, and comfortable being yourself. I will listen without judgment and work collaboratively with you to begin identifying meaningful goals for therapy.

You do not have to have everything figured out before you begin. We can start wherever you are and take the next step together.
