Great to meet you!

I enjoy working with adults, teenagers, and couples. I aim to guide people to a better awareness of the stressors and struggles that surround them, provide tools for dealing with these issues, and help people move forward into a greater sense of agency in their lives. I have worked in mental health for 20 years, in hospitals and private practice, and my particular specialities are depression management, anxiety management, grief and bereavement and helping people clarify their goals and expectations for their lives.

My approach to therapy

My approach is eclectic. I believe in adapting my approach to the needs of each individual. In the first session, I aim to build a rapport and understanding that promotes trust and openness, with the goal of fully understanding the key issues. Moving forward, we work together to explore and clarify options and possible decisions.

What you can expect from me

I believe that warmth, acceptance, trust and, when appropriate, humor are important to a good therapeutic relationship. A relaxed atmosphere allows us to address the challenges, emotional pain, sadness and joy that can accompany relationships, life transitions, opportunities and changes. I welcome you to reach out to see if we might work well together.
