Great to meet you!

Hello there! I specialize in working with individuals who struggle with anxiety, depression, eating disorders, trauma, relationship issues and life transitions. My therapeutic style is eclectic with an emphasis on cognitive and dialectical behavior therapies and mindfulness. I am also bilingual in English and Cantonese and sensitive to multicultural issues.

My approach to therapy

My primary modalities are Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. However, my therapeutic approach can vary depending on your needs and goals. I am also trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR); I utilize EMDR to help clients heal from symptoms and emotional distress resulting from trauma and adverse events.

What you can expect from me

I view therapy as a collaborative process that stems from a safe, caring, and authentic relationship that allows you to explore your feelings and thoughts without feeling judged. I start off an initial session by hearing your story, understanding your needs, and empowering you to identify goals. I encourage clients to practice new skills to help build upon the work we do in our sessions.
