Great to meet you!

I obtained my master's degree in Rehabilitation Counseling in 2012 and started working as a Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor for the VA the same year. My focus has been on assisting via counseling and practical steps to help individuals with psychiatric or physical disabilities return to the workforce. Part of my education included training in therapeutic counseling. I obtained my Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor license in 2020 and am now expanding my skills to work in private practice providing therapeutic counseling services.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is very individualized and incorporates the strengths of my clients as a therapeutic tool. I pull from different therapeutic modalities what I believe would be most helpful to any individual client. The most important thing is to really "hear" your client. I do have a preference for Reality Therapy.

What you can expect from me

I have been told that I have a way of making people feel calm. Truly hearing my client is always my goal. I like to create a comfortable and safe environment and get to know a person before implementing a plan.
