Hi! I'm Jay. I'm a board-certified music therapist and licensed mental health counselor practicing in-person in my office in College Park, Orlando.

Over the past 3 1/2 years as a therapist, I’ve worked with diverse clients in settings like a domestic violence shelter, outreach program, bridge housing, and a community mental health office. My master's thesis explored Mixed-Race Counseling and Music Therapy, drawing from my experience as a biracial Filipinx.

These experiences have deepened my understanding of varied mental health needs and effective therapeutic approaches.

My approach to therapy

At this time, I only do in-person sessions at my office in Orlando, FL. In our work together, I draw from a range of therapeutic approaches to provide a comprehensive and supportive experience. I also value the integration of music therapy into sessions whenever it is beneficial.

I aim to provide a compassionate and personalized therapeutic experience, where your authenticity is welcome, and our connection will be a foundation to the work we do. I am here to support you with understanding and respect, and together we’ll work towards meaningful change and personal growth.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect a supportive, nonjudgmental space where they can feel seen, heard, and safe. I provide culturally compassionate, BIPOC, Neurodivergent, and LGBTQIA+ affirming care. Our sessions focus on your personal goals with diverse therapeutic approaches to foster safety, trust, and growth. You’ll develop your strengths, gain clarity on your potential, and receive constructive challenges to support your development.
