Great to meet you!

Hi! ¡Hola! I’m Joanna, a bilingual (Spanish/English) therapist dedicated to providing a supportive space for healing, clarity, and change. I'll walk alongside you—helping you build on your strengths and move toward the life you want.

I specialize in supporting people navigating trauma, anxiety and depression, with a focus on survivors of interpersonal violence and abuse. I’m trained in evidence-based approaches including EMDR, Brainspotting, and Trauma-Focused CBT. My work is client-centered and strengths-based, always tailored to meet your unique needs.

I believe you already have the inner strength to heal—therapy is just the place where we work together to access and build on it.

A bit about my approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is collaborative and deeply client-centered. I believe that each person is the expert on their own life, and my role is to support you in uncovering your strengths, building resilience, and working toward the life you want.

I strive to create a safe, affirming space where you can feel heard, supported, and empowered. Together, we’ll work to process difficult experiences, develop coping strategies, and create meaningful, lasting change.

What you can expect from our first session

In our first session, we’ll take time to get to know each other. I’ll ask about what brings you to therapy, your goals, and any questions or concerns you have. This is a space for you to share at your own pace—there’s no pressure to go too deep too fast. We’ll begin building a foundation of trust and start shaping a plan that fits you.

At the end of a session, you may feel calmer and more grounded. My goal is that you feel more peace, clarity, and relief knowing you don’t have to walk this journey alone and hopeful about what’s ahead.
