Great to meet you!

Many people come to therapy not because something is "wrong" with them, but because they're ready for something different. I believe that most people who seek support aren't broken, they're brave. They've decided that something needs to shift, and they're willing to do the work to get there.

Whether you're navigating past trauma, breaking patterns that no longer serve you, or working through negative self-talk, you don't have to figure it out alone.

I'm Joanna Saint Jacques, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with experience working with children and adults across a range of life experiences. My approach is warm, direct, and deeply collaborative. We work together to explore what's holding you back and create space for real, lasting change.

My approach to therapy

My approach is client-centered and solution-focused, meaning we start where you are and work toward where you want to be. We focus on building the tools, insights, and coping strategies that help you move forward.

I believe therapy should feel empowering, not passive. Together we identify what's working, what isn't, and what small but meaningful shifts can create real momentum in your life. Every person I work with has different needs, so I tailor my approach to fit you.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is about getting to know each other. There's no pressure to have everything figured out or to share more than you're ready to; we move at your pace.

I'll ask questions to better understand what brought you in, what's been on your mind, and what you're hoping to get out of our work together. For younger clients, I also take time to connect with the family and understand the bigger picture of their world.

By the end of our first session, my goal is for you to leave feeling heard and with a clearer sense of what our work together might look like.
