Joanne Gonzalez

¡Hola! I am Joanne Gonzalez, a Licensed Professional Counselor. I love fostering and facilitating change, creativity, and searching for solutions. With a Bachelors in Special Education, a Masters in Professional Counseling, and an Educational Specialist Degree in Child and Adolescent Psychopathology, I hope to serve children, teens, and their families in making better choices, exploring needs, developing strengths, healing trauma, and finding clarity towards change and growth.

I see therapy as the a safe and empathetic encounter that provides the opportunity for play and conversations about what we want to heal, change, and learn. My professional experience can help others work on anxiety, depression, trauma, history of abuse, ADHD difficulties, mental health of clients on the Autism Spectrum Disorder, impulse control challenges, mood inconsistency, family needs related to having a family member with special needs, and other drawbacks.

I hope clients and their families find different ways to cope, communicate, engage in vulnerability, be present, be intentional, and grow in courage.
