Joanne Hudkins

I'm a board-certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, who specializes in teens and adults. My areas of interest & expertise include mood disorders, anxiety disorders & reproductive psychiatry. I have additional training in women's mental health, particularly related to pregnancy & postpartum. I've worked with individuals from diverse backgrounds in the outpatient & inpatient mental health setting. My goal is to promote an environment that is patient-centered, specific to their psychiatric needs.

I utilize evidence-based practice using safe and appropriate pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic treatments. I initiate psychotropic medications and adjunct therapies such as psycho education and psychotherapy. I am dedicated to providing the highest quality mental health care to individuals and their families, demonstrates empathic listening skills and establish a therapeutic alliance with patients in a non-judgmental and safe environment.

I truly believe that everyone is unique and has different needs; therefore, the services they receive should be tailored to each individual. I work closely with my patients in order to develop individualized treatment plans. I believe in integrated health care and by providing thorough and thoughtful assessments, we can achieve an effective, successful treatment and coordination of care.
