Great to meet you!

I'm an experienced, well trained therapist. Even though I am well trained, I know that what really counts is the connection that the client forms with the therapist. I'm always curious about what's unique about each individual so that I can tailor fit the treatment to suit your individual situation. I often add a dash of humor to our interactions. Contact me now to see if we are a good fit.

My approach to therapy

I start off therapy by asking for history, your life and important factors, about your family, education, work, and strengths. I want to know what has been troubling you the most, and how you have attempted to gain relief. I speak directly and often ask whether I am gaining a good understanding of you. It is important for us to clarify our goals so that we can determine future progress. I often remind my clients to consider their strengths and abilities when assessing their growth.

What you can expect from me

Often at the end of a session we decide in what ways you might practice new habits or skills. Your work in between sessions helps strengthen the power of therapy beyond the time spent in session. This work also helps provide an agenda for subsequent sessions. It is important to practice new ways of thinking and behaving even though beginning attempts may be approximations of future successes.
