Great to meet you!

Hello! I am Dr. Job Ogega (Dr. J), a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) dedicated to providing compassionate, comprehensive mental health care to individuals across the lifespan. My clinical journey began with four years of invaluable experience as a registered nurse after earning my BSN from Salem State University, which inspired me to achieve my Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) from Regis College. Rooted in a deep commitment to giving back to the community, my practice focuses on blending evidence-based psychiatric expertise with holistic, patient-centered support. I look forward to partnering with you on your mental wellness journey and helping you thrive at any stage of life.

My approach to therapy

I believe in providing a holistic, collaborative, and evidence-based approach to mental health care that treats you as a whole person, not just a set of symptoms. Drawing from my extensive background as a registered nurse and my advanced doctoral training, I combine precise diagnostic and medication management skills with deeply empathetic, patient-centered communication. By recognizing that mental wellness is closely tied to your physical health, lifestyle, and unique life experiences, we will work together as partners to build a personalized treatment plan. My goal is to create a safe, judgment-free space where you feel genuinely heard, valued, and empowered to achieve lasting mental wellness.

What you can expect from me

Your first session with me is a welcoming, supportive, and confidential space dedicated entirely to understanding your unique story and current challenges. We will review your mental health history, current symptoms, lifestyle factors, and any previous treatments that have or have not worked for you. This is a collaborative conversation where you can share at your own comfortable pace without judgment. Together, we will outline your personal goals and discuss a tailored, evidence-based treatment plan that may include medication management, lifestyle adjustments, or supportive therapy. My priority is ensuring you leave the first appointment feeling heard, informed, and confident about the next steps in your mental wellness journey.
