Great to meet you!

I'm a retired U.S. Army veteran with more than 30 years of experience supporting others through life's challenges. Over 26 of those years were spent walking alongside troops — listening, guiding, and helping them navigate the weight of service. That experience clarified my path, and in 2015 I became a Licensed Professional Counselor.

Whether or not it's my calling, I know this: I'm good at what I do, and I care deeply about the people I work with. My approach reflects the things I love most in life, including a strong belief in the healing power of animals. I've seen firsthand how they meet needs we don't always recognize we have — offering comfort, connection, and a kind of understanding that words sometimes can't reach.

My approach to therapy

Finding the right therapist matters, so I want to be upfront about how I work. My style blends deep empathy with honest, straightforward communication. I've found that sugar-coating tends to prolong therapy rather than move it forward — and while I respect that some clients prefer a gentler pace, that isn't the experience I offer.

What you can expect from me is a therapy experience built around you. I draw from evidence-based practices and tailor each session to your unique needs, goals, and story — rather than fitting you into a cookie-cutter framework. My goal is to help you make meaningful progress, with clarity, compassion, and purpose guiding the way.

If this resonates with you, I'd love to hear from you. Taking the first step toward therapy can feel daunting, but you don't have to figure it out alone. Reach out whenever you're ready — I'm here to listen, and together we'll decide if we're the right fit to begin this journey.

What you can expect from me

Your first session with me is a space to breathe, reflect, and simply talk it out. You'll have the freedom to explore what's on your mind — with gentle guidance when you need it and no judgment, ever. My role is to hold a structured, safe space where you can begin to break down the walls that have been holding you back and see familiar challenges in a new light.

I don't believe in talking around a problem. I'll offer suggestions that speak directly to what you're facing, grounded in your goals and your story. My aim is to help you find meaningful solutions — quickly, efficiently, and in a way that actually moves the needle in your life.

You bring the willingness to show up. I'll bring the tools, the honesty, and the care to help you get where you want to go.
