Great to meet you!

I am retired military (US Army) and I have been a therapist in some way for over 30 years. In my 26 years of talking to troops, it was then that I realized my path and became a Licensed Professional Counselor in 2015. I don't know if it was my calling, but I am very good at it! I have incorporated many things I love in my approach, to include Animal Assisted Therapy, ESA, and Service Dogs. Animals, which I love, I believe are very therapeutic and meet needs that one may not know they have.

My approach to therapy

Sometimes it is hard to find the best fit for you when it comes to therapy. So, it is imperative you understand my style of therapy. I am very empathetic while being straightforward. There is something in "sugar coating" a response that extends to the length of therapy. I know that some prefer that, but it is not what I do. I will construct an evidence-based therapy experience for you that is tailored to you and your needs rather than following a cookie-cutter framework.

What you can expect from me

In your sessions with me, you will be given license to "talk it out" and explore while being gently guided if needed. You will have the opportunity to speak without judgment. My hope is to be able to give you a structured space to break down walls and look at different ideas in a different light, offer suggestions that matter and speak to the problem and not go around it. My hope is to offer solutions that help you quickly and efficiently.
