Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with over 20 years of experience providing trauma-informed care to individuals across the lifespan. I am the Founder of Monarch Counseling Services, LLC, where my primary focus is working with individuals impacted by Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and trauma-related symptoms. My professional background includes work at community agencies, children’s homes, and school settings, supporting individuals from diverse backgrounds with complex trauma histories.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is compassionate, collaborative, and grounded in evidence-based practices. I believe healing occurs in a safe, supportive environment where clients feel seen, heard, and understood. Therapy is not just my profession—it is my calling—and I am deeply committed to helping individuals move forward with resilience, clarity, and hope.

What you can expect from me

During your first session, clients can expect a welcoming, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where they are free to share at their own pace. The initial session is focused on getting to know you—your concerns, experiences, strengths, and what brought you to therapy—while also ensuring you feel comfortable, heard, and safe.

Together, we will begin identifying your goals for therapy and what healing and growth may look like for you. I prioritize creating a calm, collaborative space and often introduce grounding or coping strategies that can be used both in and outside of sessions. The goal of the first session is not to “fix” everything, but to establish trust, clarify next steps, and lay a foundation for meaningful, lasting change.
