Great to meet you!

Hello, my name is Jocelyn Zafra, LMFT. I believe meaningful change begins with a strong therapeutic relationship grounded in trust, authenticity, and understanding. I offer a calm, supportive space where you can feel safe showing up as you are, especially during life’s more difficult moments. My approach is compassionate and present, with the goal of helping you feel heard, supported, and not alone as we work together toward healing and growth.

My approach to therapy

My approach integrates Mindfulness-Based CBT, helping you notice and reframe unhelpful thought patterns, and Solution-Focused Therapy, which focuses on your strengths and practical steps toward the goals that matter most to you.I have experience working with adolescents, court-mandated clients, and individuals navigating anxiety, trauma, and substance use concerns. I tailor my approach to your unique needs, focusing on building insight, coping skills, and realistic, sustainable progress at a pace that feels right for you.

What you can expect from me

In your first session with me, you can expect a calm and welcoming environment where we begin building rapport and getting a clear understanding of what brings you to therapy. We’ll explore your current concerns, background, and what you hope to gain from the process. I also gather relevant history and begin collaborating with you to identify initial goals that feel meaningful and achievable. This session is also an opportunity for you to ask questions and get a sense of how we might work together. My intention is for you to leave the first session with a sense of direction, support, and clarity about next steps in your therapeutic journey.
