Great to meet you!

Hi! I'm Joy, Licensed and Marriage Family Therapist, and a human that has also lived some life! I provide a holding space to encourage, nurture, guide, and empower you to make changes in your life through researched based modalities. I see things from a cultural and feminist lens. I've been practicing for the last 5 years as a family clinician. My main focus is working with clients with PTSD, anxiety, substance use disorder, and parenting, codependency, and life transitions.

My approach to therapy

Every person carries their own history, needs, and strengths. If we decide to work together, we’ll approach therapy as a collaborative journey. I prioritize honesty, respect, and a space where you can speak freely. I’ll be here to listen deeply, offer gentle challenges, and support you every step of the way.

What you can expect from me

I begin with an introductory session where you can share what’s brought you to therapy and what you’d like to work toward. Together, we’ll explore your hopes, needs, and goals. My aim is to create a supportive and comfortable space where you can speak openly and feel safe doing so. As we move forward, we’ll continue towards living rather than surviving. We'll collaborate on steps that help you move toward the changes you want.
