Great to meet you!

Thank you for considering me as your therapist. I know this step can bring ambivalence and uncertainty, so I like to remind folks to always trust their instincts. As a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor for nine years, and in the field for nearly twenty years, I view it as a profound privilege to support those who are on a journey to address and unpack the burdens that life may sometimes bring. Whether you are navigating significant changes or coping with losses that feel unbearable, I am here to walk alongside you.

My approach to therapy

As a client-centered therapist, it is important for me to create the space you need so you can explore your thoughts and feelings openly. I am trauma-informed, meaning our work together will integrate a framework that understands and takes into close consideration how trauma affects people's lives, behaviors, and relationships. Fundamentally, my framework is systemic, meaning I focus on the interactions and relationships of a person in relation to their family, friends, workplace, community, etc. This approach helps us understand the patterns and connections that can either cause stress or provide support, guiding us to create healthier ways of relating.

What you can expect from me

In your first session, you'll have the opportunity to share about you and what brings you into therapy. You'll also be able to establish some goals and what you're hoping to get out of our work together. My goal is to make sure I create warm and welcoming space for you to feel comfortable sharing about yourself and your journey. This space will be that where you can express your thoughts and feelings freely, without judgment. This trust is essential as you embark on and move along in this healing journey.
