Great to meet you!

Hello and thank you for your interest! I’ve been working as a clinician for 30 years and have been heavily trained through various working environments, along with bachelors degree in Psychology from the University of Tennessee and a masters degree from South University in Professional Counseling. I’ve had various credentials throughout my professional development, including a masters in addiction counseling, also certified as a emotional freedom technique practitioner, and also certified animal assisted therapist I have extensive knowledge in trauma, grief and anxiety. I’m holistic in nature, but do have specific modalities that I use such as cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, client centered care, trauma informed care, along with mind and body techniques, such as somatic exercise and creative outlets .

My approach to therapy

I am a down to earth clinician that believes very much in the mind body connection. I have extensive knowledge and experience working with trauma, grief, adjustment and addiction. I firmly believe developing a secure and safe therapeutic relationship with my clients is of upmost importance and very much a partnership. I have a heavy holistic approach, but also cater to what suits the client’s healing and ongoing self-care.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect a warm and inviting professional experience with a heavy emphasis of understanding the choice to enter therapy is an extremely healthy option; not at all a failure! Creating a safe and secure therapeutic environment along with leaving with some concrete therapeutic goals typically occur in the first session.
