Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Jody Arnold, a Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW) with over 10 years of experience in behavioral health, addiction recovery, and medical social work. I’m also a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP) with advanced training in trauma-informed care, CBT, DBT, and motivational interviewing.

I specialize in working with individuals navigating addiction, trauma, grief, depression, and low self-esteem. I believe healing happens through connection, honesty, and taking small, meaningful steps toward big goals. My approach is compassionate, solution-focused, and grounded in evidence-based practices.

I’ve worked in community mental health, hospital emergency departments, and substance use treatment programs. I welcome all clients with an open mind and heart and aim to create a safe space for everyone—including individuals from diverse and marginalized communities.

Outside of work, I’m a proud single mom with a big heart, a loyal dog, and two quirky cats. I believe in the power of faith, resilience, and hope. If you’re looking for someone easy to talk to who’s committed to walking with you on your journey, I’m here to help.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is warm, collaborative, and rooted in the belief that healing is possible for everyone. I meet clients where they are, offering a safe, nonjudgmental space to explore life’s challenges. My style is down-to-earth and supportive, yet I’ll gently challenge you when needed to help you grow.

Together, we’ll identify your goals and develop a plan that feels right for you—whether it’s learning healthier coping skills, setting boundaries, addressing substance use, or healing from past wounds. I believe therapy should be empowering, practical, and tailored to your unique needs.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect to leave sessions feeling heard, supported, and empowered with practical tools they can use in daily life. My goal is to help you build insight, develop healthier coping skills, and create lasting change—at your own pace and in your own way.

Whether we’re working through trauma, navigating addiction recovery, processing grief, or rebuilding self-worth, I strive to create a calm, judgment-free environment where you feel safe to be honest and vulnerable. I believe in starting where you are and helping you take small, steady steps toward your bigger goals.

Together, we’ll focus on strengthening your resilience, increasing self-awareness, and identifying patterns that may be keeping you stuck. Over time, many clients report feeling more confident, more in control of their emotions, and better equipped to handle life’s ups and downs.
