Great to meet you!

I have been practicing therapy or managing those that do for the past 16 years. I recently completed a doctorate degree in biomedical ethics and find that it has enhanced my ability to assist those dealing with moral or ethical struggles. I believe that the client should direct the treatment, and I take on supporting role where we can explore different avenues to resolve an issue. I have specialized training in trauma resolution, anxiety management, living with ADHD and depression.

My approach to therapy

I use a combination of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. I believe that our values can guide our actions especially when we find ourselves avoiding experiences that cause us discomfort. We can explore ways to allow the thoughts to be present while still pursuing a value-guided action.

What you can expect from me

There is not a one size fits all to therapy and that is why I devote many hours per year to learning new or improving my counseling skills. I believe that therapy can be transformative. I want my clients to have something to take from their time in therapy so I often email them the handouts we use to ensure they can practice the new skills they have learned.
