Great to meet you!

I've been licensed as a Professional Counselor for over 26 years with a Masters in Clinical Psychology from Sam Houston State University and a Bachelors in Psychology from The University of Texas at Austin. I work with adult clients experiencing depression, anxiety, life transitions, interpersonal relationship issues, women's issues, adoption issues, behavioral issues, self-esteem issues, parenting issues, trauma/crisis, and anger management.

My approach to therapy

I often use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, which helps to overcome unhealthy/distorted thought processes, leading to positive changes in emotions & behavior. I incorporate other therapeutic approaches as well, tailoring therapy to the unique needs of each client. I provide Christian Counseling for those who wish to integrate their Christian faith into therapy. I provide a safe, nonjudgmental place for clients to process their feelings and navigate the difficult issues of life.

What you can expect from me

Sometimes our circumstances are beyond our control, but we can learn to change the lens through which we view our circumstances. Through counseling, you and I can work together to help you develop coping strategies, increase personal growth, strengthen your emotional well-being, address unresolved issues, explore patterns of behavior, and improve interpersonal relationships. No matter what you are facing, there is hope, and I would love to come alongside you and help you see your potential!
