Great to meet you!

"In the midst of winter, I found there was, within me, an invincible Summer"

As a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor I find it difficult to put into words my inherent belief that we all have an indomitable spirit. Perhaps, it’s the instinct to survive but, I like to believe that it is also the instinct to thrive, find peace of mind and happiness. In all my years of experience I have found that my greatest strength as a therapist is my ability to connect with my clients and build a relationship of trust, respect and even humor.

My approach to therapy

I am both compassionate and challenging. I will meet you where you’re at but, look with you towards the future of where you would like to be. Counseling can be a very thorny path but, in adversity and even pain comes empowerment, hope and change. My approach to counseling has always been very organic. Each client is an individual and most often an expert on who they are and what they need.

What you can expect from me

I have extensive experience working with adults who are struggling with depression, self-esteem, stress, anxiety, drug/alcohol addiction and interpersonal/relationship issues. My clinical approach is multi-dimensional and fluid. You are the most important part of your recovery and healing. I encourage my clients to practice radical acceptance and harm reduction with a goal of progression and personal evolution . I champion the desire for change by practicing progress when we need to work through and get past the things in ours lives that are holding us hostage.

"No matter how hard the world pushes against me, within me, there's something stronger-something better, pushing right back." -Albert Camus
