Great to meet you!

I bring more than 40 years of experience providing mental health services to children, adolescents, adults, families, and older adults in a variety of settings, including schools, community mental health agencies, crisis services, hospitals, forensic facilities, correctional institutions, and residential treatment programs. Throughout my career, I have worked with individuals facing anxiety, depression, trauma, anger, relationship challenges, grief, life transitions, behavioral concerns, and crisis situations.

My approach is compassionate, respectful, and solution-focused. I believe every person has strengths that can be built upon, and I work collaboratively with clients to help them develop practical skills, improve emotional well-being, and achieve meaningful goals. I strive to create a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel comfortable discussing difficult experiences at their own pace.

In addition to my clinical experience, I have served in leadership roles as a clinical supervisor, program manager, and coordinator, mentoring other mental health professionals while helping develop quality behavioral health services. I hold specialized certifications in forensic counseling, criminal justice, domestic violence counseling, motivational interviewing, crisis intervention, and clinical supervision. These experiences allow me to effectively support clients with complex needs while recognizing that every individual's story is unique.

Whether you are seeking support for personal growth, emotional healing, managing life's challenges, or navigating difficult transitions, I am committed to providing compassionate care that empowers you to move forward with confidence and resilience.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is collaborative, client-centered, and grounded in evidence-based practices. I believe each person is the expert on their own life, and my role is to provide a supportive, nonjudgmental environment where we can work together to understand challenges, identify strengths, and develop practical solutions.

I tailor treatment to each client's unique needs, goals, and experiences by integrating therapeutic approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), mindfulness-based techniques, and strengths-based interventions when appropriate. I value creating a safe therapeutic relationship where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered to make meaningful changes.

Whether you're working through anxiety, depression, life transitions, relationship concerns, trauma, or personal growth, I strive to help you build insight, develop effective coping skills, and create lasting, positive change at a pace that feels right for you.

What you can expect from me

During our first session, we'll focus on getting to know one another and building a foundation for our work together. I'll invite you to share what brought you to therapy, the challenges you're currently facing, and what you hope to achieve. We'll also discuss your personal history, strengths, and any factors that may be impacting your well-being.

This session is also an opportunity for you to ask questions about the therapy process and determine whether I feel like a good fit for your needs. My goal is to create a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where you can speak openly without feeling pressured to share more than you're comfortable with.

By the end of our first meeting, we'll have identified your initial goals and begin developing a personalized plan to help you move toward meaningful and lasting change.
