Great to meet you!

Hello! My name is Joel Farber, I am a LCSW who has been practicing in mental health services for the last 15 years.

A bit about my approach to therapy

My work comes from a trauma-informed and strengths-base lens and utilizes a combination of CBT, DBT and Humanistic approaches to therapy. Some of the issues people come to me for include: depression/anxiety, trauma, grief/loss, relationship issues, men’s issues, life transitions and stress management.

What you can expect from our first session

I am an easy-going and genuinely curious therapist. It is my intention to create a non-judgmental space for clients to explore their issues, gain awareness of any self-limiting patterns, learn helpful skills, and hopefully share a laugh. I believe that with support and guidance, the challenges and transitions we face can become opportunities for personal growth and a chance to re-frame our experiences in a positive way.
