Great to meet you!

I’m Joel Jeffries, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in California. My background includes individual therapy, mental health crisis response, and work with veterans and military families. I also support parents navigating child welfare or CPS involvement and the stress and uncertainty it can bring. Reaching out for therapy can feel difficult, especially when you’ve been managing a lot on your own. I offer a space where you can speak openly, feel heard, and work through what’s happening in your life.

My approach to therapy

I take a collaborative, practical approach. I want to understand your experiences, what matters to you, and what you hope will change. We’ll identify patterns that may be keeping you stuck, build on your strengths, and develop ways to handle challenges outside of our sessions. I’ll be direct when it’s helpful while making room for you to move at a pace that feels right.

What you can expect from me

My hope is that you leave sessions with a clearer understanding of what you’re experiencing and a useful next step. That might mean finding a different way to respond to stress, improving communication, or making a decision you’ve been putting off. We’ll check in on what’s helping and adjust our work together as your needs change.
