Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Joelle Nagel, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a Master’s from the University of Denver. I have years of experience helping clients of all ages in schools, private practice, and clinical settings. My specialties include trauma-informed care, CBT, DBT, and behavior intervention. I’m passionate about creating safe, supportive spaces where people can grow and heal. I blend compassion with structure, always meeting clients where they are.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is client-centered, trauma-informed, and grounded in evidence-based practices. I integrate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Motivational Interviewing (MI) to help clients of all ages build insight, strengthen coping skills, and move toward meaningful personal growth. I have experience working with children, adolescents, and adults navigating anxiety, depression, mood disorders, behavioral challenges, life transitions, and difficulties with emotional regulation.

I am committed to meeting clients where they are, creating a safe, supportive, and affirming environment where they feel heard and understood. I value collaboration and, when appropriate, work closely with families and other professionals to provide holistic, individualized care that supports each client’s unique strengths and goals.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect a supportive, nonjudgmental environment where they feel seen, heard, and respected. My sessions focus on strengthening emotional regulation, building practical coping strategies, and fostering deeper self-awareness. Whether navigating trauma, behavioral patterns, relationship concerns, or everyday stressors, I aim to create a safe and collaborative space for meaningful growth and healing. My goal is for each client to leave with tools they can apply in daily life—at work, in relationships, and at home—so they feel more confident, grounded, and capable.
