Great to meet you!

Welcome! I am a licensed clinical social worker. Previously, as a public school music teacher, I often found myself drawn to the kids who had behavior problems in the classroom. I have had extensive training in Family Therapy and Couples Therapy. I have worked with a wide variety of people of all ages with a wide variety of problems. I feel very comfortable working with people with bipolar disorder, ADHD, anger problems, grief, anxiety, and of course relationship difficulties.

My approach to therapy

I would describe my approach as creative and collaborative problem-solviing. I look for your strengths and help you to formulate and prioritize your goals. Together we look at what has been getting in your way and look for a way to make your problem(s) manageable. Clients tell me that they often feel uplifted after a session, that the load they carry has become lighter.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect to feel more hopeful about their situation in life—that there is help, that there are people who care, their problems are understandable and they aren’t alone. I want them to realize that they have something to offer and there is a way to become unstuck. In my experience, just about everyone can benefit from developing skill in creating and maintaining healthy boundaries.
