Great to meet you!

I am a firm believer that humans are doing the best with what they know at any given time. I'm also very aware that our contexts, both small-scale within our living situations, and large-scale within our society, shape how we feel and what experience. My job is to help you better know yourself so you can live more aligned with your values and your goals while also creating space for the impact your contexts have on you. My therapeutic approach is dynamic and strength-based. I will help you find repetitive dynamics within your life and assist you in making the mental and behavioral changes you want to see.

I have my doctorate degree from Regent University, I completed my predoctoral internship at Tulsa University, and I have two years of practice at UTSA and the South Texas Veterans Health Care Systems as a staff psychologist. I have experience treating adults of all ages addressing anxiety, depression, PTSD, adjustment to new environments, and experiences of discrimination.

My approach to therapy

My therapeutic approach is dynamic and strength-based. I will help you find repetitive dynamics within your life and assist you in making the mental and behavioral changes you want to see.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect to identify their strengths, learn what boundaries they wish to set and enforce, and be able to learn how they can make the changes to see. Clients can also expect to encounter a relatable therapist who practices radical acceptance and unconditional positive regard of clients' experiences. We can't make healthy changes from a place of shame, so I work very hard to help clients take a non-judgmental view of their presenting concerns so they can identify what changes they want, rather than feel the need or pressure to change.
