Great to meet you!

My name is Johanne and I am the founder and therapist of Grounded Path LLC. I am a native northerner, born in Connecticut, who moved to Orlando when I was ten years old. Growing up in a hispanic household contributes to my views on family, helping others, and the importance of taking care of yourself. I am a mom of four amazing (and wild) kids, so I understand that finding balance and staying grounded takes work and sometimes help from others.

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, I provide individual and couples therapy services in a supportive, compassionate, and collaborative environment. I am a loyal knight obtaining my Bachelors and Masters degree from the University of Central Florida, where I currently teach as an adjunct professor. I have provided counseling in a variety of settings to include addiction facilities, behavioral hospitals, schools, the VA medical hospital, and in private practice. My diverse work background has equipped me with the appropriate tools and strategies to offer my clients.

Life can be challenging, but with commitment to change and the right counselor helping you navigate the way, I feel confident we can get you on a grounded path to peace and wellness.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is grounded in evidence-based practices tailored to each client’s unique needs and goals. I work with teens, adults, and couples facing challenges such as anxiety, depression, stress, relationship concerns, life transitions, and emotional difficulties. Throughout the therapeutic process, I help my clients develop practical coping strategies, improve communication, and build healthier patterns. My goal is to support clients in gaining insight, strengthening resilience, and creating meaningful, lasting change in their lives and relationships.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and begin building a comfortable, supportive therapeutic relationship. We’ll talk about what brings you to therapy, your current concerns, relevant background information, and what you hope to achieve. I’ll also answer any questions you have about the therapy process. There’s no pressure to share everything at once—our goal is simply to understand your needs and start creating a treatment plan that feels right for you.
